Chemical and Pest Control

PEST CONTROL

The Company uses sustainable and natural methods for planting and pest control, such as shrubs to minimize soil erosion, increasing and enriching soil absorption areas and using natural predators such as owls to control rat populations and planting host plants that attract insects which are natural predators of caterpillars. The Company also uses agrochemicals that are registered and permitted by the authorities. MKTR has conducted environmentally friendly development methods and approaches to integrate pest monitoring and control through the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practice approach. The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) carried out by the Company through available pest control methods and seeks to suppress the development of pest populations, and keep pesticides to economically acceptable levels. The IPM system combines natural control, biological control and technical control (biological and chemical). This technical control is the last resort taken, if natural and biological control is no longer able to significantly suppress the pest population.
