PT Menthobi Karyatama Raya Tbk (MKTR) and PT Mahkota Group Tbk (MGRO) collaborate in creating a sustainable palm oil industry by building a granular compost fertilizer factory made from Empty Palm Baskets (Jankos) in Palembang, inaugurated on October 1, 2024. This factory utilizes palm oil waste into high-quality organic fertilizer through the GreenGrow brand, the flagship product of PT Menthobi Hijau Lestari (MHL), a subsidiary of MKTR. MKTR Director, M. Pahlevi Pangerang, stated that this collaboration supports the green industry and has the potential to expand strategic partnerships. The plant with a production capacity of 40 tons per day plays an important role in reducing palm oil waste, reducing methane emissions, and improving soil quality through the content of bacteria and nutrients in GreenGrow products. President Director of Mahkota Group, Usli Sarsi, added that this factory is the first palm oil waste treatment solution in South Sumatra, providing economic and environmental benefits, and contributing to reducing Greenhouse Gases (GHG).
