Menthobi Karyatama Raya Strengthens Commitment to Sustainable Corporate Governance

JAKARTA – The commitment of PT Menthobi Karyatama Raya Tbk (MKTR) to building a corporate governance framework grounded in integrity and transparency has once again received national recognition. The Company was awarded the Annual Report Award (ARA) 2024 as the Winner in the Non–State-Owned Enterprise (Non-SOE/Non-Regional SOE) Category, in recognition of the quality of its annual report, which was assessed to consistently and strongly reflect sound governance and sustainability practices.

The award was presented at the Annual Report Award 2024 ceremony, organized by the National Committee on Governance Policy (Komite Nasional Kebijakan Governance – KNKG) in collaboration with several strategic national institutions, including the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), on 8 December 2025. This year, ARA adopted the theme “Leading with Integrity, Transparency, and Accountability: The Path to a Sustainable Future,” underscoring the role of the annual report as a key instrument in assessing leadership quality, governance practices, and a company’s readiness to create long-term value.

Commissioner of PT Menthobi Karyatama Raya Tbk, Nadhif Kasyvilla, stated that the achievement reflects MKTR Management’s discipline in positioning governance and sustainability as integral elements of business strategy, rather than merely as regulatory compliance. “This award represents an appreciation of MKTR Management’s consistency in operating the Company with integrity, transparency, and accountability. The Board of Commissioners views the annual report as a critical medium to ensure that the Company’s strategic direction, risk management, and sustainability commitments can be comprehensively understood by stakeholders,” said Nadhif Kasyvilla.

He further added that the Board of Commissioners continues to encourage Management to ensure that Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and ESG practices go beyond policy frameworks and are fully internalized in decision-making processes and day-to-day operations. As a palm oil agribusiness company, MKTR operates in a sector with high exposure to environmental, social, and governance issues. Accordingly, the Company consistently develops business approaches that balance economic performance with environmental and social responsibility. The integration of ESG into the Company’s strategy is reflected in the strengthening of Board oversight, the establishment of sustainability indicators as part of management performance measurement, and continuous improvements in the quality of disclosures in the annual report and sustainability report.

Chair of the ARA 2024 Jury Panel, Lindawati Gani, explained that the ARA assessment process is conducted through rigorous stages, including desk evaluations of disclosure quality and interviews with company leadership to assess the extent to which principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability are embedded in corporate strategy and business practices. “The ARA 2024 jury panel consistently upholds objectivity, conducts the assessment independently, and maintains the highest standards of professionalism.”
